Water Pump for Forklifts - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid when the engine is running.
The water pump uses centrifugal force to send water to the outside as it turns. This action causes fluid to be constantly drawn from the pump's center. The pump inlet is situated near the center. This particular design enables fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically positioned in order to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid that is exiting the pump initially flows through the engine block and cylinder head. Then the fluid goes into the radiator and lastly circulates back to the pump.
