JLG Forklift Parts - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove set out on a cross country RV voyage. After spending numerous years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end consequence of a road trip.

During their journey, John reacquainted himself with past business acquaintances along the way. In combination with these conversations and a significant event; two workers were unfortunately electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John uncovered an infinite market for a product that could swiftly and safely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.

Upon returning from their travels, John formed a joint venture with two friends and acquired a metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, starting operations with a crew of twenty workers, they designed and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The company incorporates many of the basic design elements of that original lift into current versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove came back from his fatefull cross-country trip and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the business has extended itself into many different international markets and continues to cultivate modern machines to ensure that customers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
